Honor Among Thieves Witcher 3 Complete Quest Guide
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, secondary quests often reward players who pay close attention to minor NPCs and narrative opportunities. The quest titled Honor Among Thieves is a prime example of a quick yet valuable side mission in Novigrad. By helping a helpless prisoner during a major story operation, Geralt secures an additional payday that many casual players accidentally miss.
How to Unlock Honor Among Thieves
Unlocking this quest requires specific action during the main story mission Get Junior. While investigating Whoreson Junior's casino in Novigrad, Geralt encounters a captured halfling named Rico Meiersdorf on the top floor. Choosing to free Rico from his captors sets the quest in motion. The halfling promises that his employer, Francis Bedlam, will properly compensate the witcher for his assistance.
Navigating to Putrid Grove and Claiming Rewards
Once Rico is safe, Geralt must travel to Putrid Grove to speak with Francis Bedlam, also known as the King of Beggars. Many players experience confusion here because the in-game map marker can lead to a misleading alley wall rather than the entrance door. To reach Bedlam, head to the main wooden gate of Putrid Grove, knock to gain entry, and proceed inside to locate the king. Speaking with Francis Bedlam triggers a dialogue choice where Geralt mentions saving one of his men. Bedlam honors Rico's promise by handing over experience points alongside equipment rewards, including the silver sword Eirlithrad and Freya's Warriors armor.
Quest Rewards and Gameplay Value
Completing this short secondary quest provides Geralt with 100 experience points and two mid-tier gear pieces. The silver sword Eirlithrad serves as a solid early-to-midgame weapon option if you have not yet crafted witcher set swords like the Griffin set. Selling these items to local blacksmiths or armorers in Novigrad also generates extra crowns for crafting materials. Taking the extra minute to collect this reward ensures you maximize earnings from your time spent in Whoreson's casino.
